“Finn the Human, Jake the Dog” – Season 5, Episodes 1 & 2Īgain, I’m cheating on this one. It’s a heartbreaking look at someone trying to deal with a loved one that has Alzheimer’s.ġ0. Speaking of the Ice King’s secret backstory, this is the one that finally paired him with Marceline for an episode and revealed that, when he was still Simon, he was Marceline’s friend when she was a little girl. This is the episode that really turned our understanding of the Ice King on its head as we discovered that the Ice King used to be a scientist named Simon and in the thousands of years past, the crown he wears has driven him insane. “Holly Jolly Secrets: Part 2” – Season 3, Episode 27įinn and Jake discover tapes of the Ice King and are determined to find his secrets in it. “Thank You” – Season 3, Episode 17Īrguably the best episode of Adventure Time, “Thank You” features a snow golem that reluctantly adopts a fire wolf and is a tear-jerking look analogue at having a pet that you’re allergic to. This has two notably solid songs, plus not-so-subtly introducing a Marceline/Bubblegum ship to the world. “What was Missing” – Season 3, Episode 10įinn, Jake, BMO, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum team up and start a band to defeat a Door Lord that took their stuff. This one’s really simple and you’re either on board with it or you’re not: A gender-swapped version of Adventure Time featuring a Neil Patrick Harris-voiced Prince Gumball. It also graced us with the baby Finn bun-punching song. This one is a fun romp through Marceline’s memories as Finn and Jake accidentally let her ex-boyfriend gaslight her and then see all three of them beat him senseless.
It feels like you're being asked to jam a square peg into a round hole, too, because the speedy scenarios don't fit the ponderous underlying game design. All you're ever doing is keeping your head above water, not building enough strength to take the fight to the enemy. You have the option of dropping in companies of spearmen and macemen on the fly at timed intervals, and can erect walls to somewhat stem the tide, but this seems to only delay the inevitable as steams of enemy columns constantly rush toward your keep. It's hard to figure out what you're supposed to do to stop these assaults, given that you're always stuck battling these massive forces with just the handful of knights and archers that you start with. Enemy armies are typically coming over the hill within no more than a minute or two from the start of a game. Maps cram all of the factions into such close quarters that it's impossible to get started on a reasonable army before the onslaught begins. Multiple enemies target you in all but the very first campaign mission, and this array of foes kicks off every match by immediately hurling columns of troops at your puny little village. Even with this experience (which you can gain here because you get the complete original game along with the supposedly new one), it's amazingly tough to emerge victorious from even a single one of the scenarios. The pace has been so amped up and the maps so packed with enemies that the combat is frenzied and chaotic.Įxpect to be toast early and often if you don't have some heavy playtime with the first game under your belt. This is actually one of the zippiest RTS games of all time, and spectacularly tough when compared to the nonextreme trail campaign in the original Stronghold Crusader. The winner is always the one who can click the quickest, which makes matches play out more like fast-forwarded street brawls than real military engagements. The new Extreme Trail campaign is too difficult for its own good.Īs with most RTS games from earlier in the decade, the skirmish maps in the 20-mission Extreme Trail campaign are all about speed, not strategy. Of course, the ultimate purpose is to use this economic backbone to fund an army of knights, spearmen, bowmen, and the like, and proceed to wipe your enemies off the map. You take on the role of a medieval lord commanding a settlement in the dusty lands of the Crusades-era Middle East, and must build it up by constructing the usual barracks, farms, armories, and mines. Gameplay shows every bit of its age, so what you've got here is an old-school RTS game in which you build bases, gather resources, and grind out soldiers for endless combat. This is essentially a straight rehashing of the first Stronghold Crusader. It doesn't even add much in the way of new old-fashioned game content it simply goes after hardcore fans of the original game with a new Extreme Trail mode of play that takes you up a ladder of impossibly murderous medieval skirmishes. This minor reimagining of an oldie but goodie is several years late for the party, a real-time relic based on antiquated game mechanics and production values. That's the lesson of Stronghold Crusader Extreme, a revamping of Firefly Studios' classic 2002 real-time strategy game Stronghold Crusader.
Still, it’s a pretty cool demo that players can play on the PC. As said, this is a tech demo created by a fan so don’t expect it to be polished. What’s really disjointed is how traditional elements taken from the online shooter genre are juxtaposed with Capcom’s own poorly considered ideas. From the awkward movement and highly selective cover points to the dull shooting and overpowered melee attacks, this is one of the messiest, most inconsistent multiplayer games we’ve ever encountered. Where Umbrella Corps really starts to come apart, however, is with its core gameplay, dragging just about every adjacent part down with it. That said, having a shortage of available game modes isn’t the be-all and end-all for every online shooter. It marks a baffling, laughable all time low that isn’t fit to be a throwaway free-to-play experiment, let alone a premium download. Umbrella Corps is the epitome of everything that has become so rotten about Resi. If you’re one of those with your finger on the trigger then please stop. With Resident Evil 7’s unveiling fresh in everyone’s minds, there are no doubt plenty of fans eyeing up Umbrella Corps despite the usual pangs of trepidation. However, with Umbrella Corps, it feels as if the publisher has gone for one last hurrah before (hopefully) stamping out this action-heavy era in the franchise’s troubled timeline. If there’s one thing fans took away from this month’s announcement of Resident Evil 7, it was Capcom’s seemingly renewed effort to protect what little remains of the horror giant’s legacy. Seriously, what the hell were you thinking, Capcom? Having had its once-legendary name besmirched and dragged through the much, we thought Resident Evil was finally on the road to recovery.
Once at the trailhead, a second assessment of the hiker was performed and rescue crews determined the patient needed transport to a local hospital. After a quick assessment, rescue teams decided to use the “Big Wheel” to help the hiker off of the mountain after he stated he didn’t feel comfortable walking down on his own, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. The other hiker was assisted by Technical Rescue Teams in Echo Canyon. The Phoenix Fire Department said the patient was then taken to a local pediatric emergency room for further evaluation. He was extricated by helicopter from the scene. After locating him, emergency personnel conducted basic life-support measures and splinted the patient’s leg. The island’s trail system will span 50 miles, connecting the four communities: Toksook Bay, Tununak, Nightmute and Mertarvik. If approved, construction is expected to start in 2023 and take about two years to complete. Work on the trail to Mertarvik still needs to be designed and go through environmental reviews. However, they would stop just short of the village, at the border between the two village corporations. Even if they decide not to accept the project, Toksook Bay still intends to build most of the trail to Mertarvik. However, the council is scheduled to meet in December, and will vote on the trail project. Newtok Tribal Administrator Phillip Carl told KYUK the village council has not met in months because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Newtok has not yet agreed to accept the trail. The village is moving because of erosion. The $12million grant will pay to take the trail the last link, from Toksook Bay, which received the federal money, to the community of Mertarvik, the new site for the village of Newtok. Alaskaīethel: A federal grant will allow an extensive trail system to connect all four communities on Nelson Island, just off Alaska’s western coast. However, guests must purchase skate passes to access the ice rink. Admission to Holidays on the Plaza is free. It grew in popularity, and moved in 2015 to the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. Holidays on the River began nine years ago on the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum property, the Tuscaloosa News reported. “With increased visibility and proximity to local businesses and restaurants, we hope to make this event more convenient to the community,” said Stacy Vaughn, director of public services. The decision to move the holiday ice skating from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater was because of ongoing construction on Jack Warner Parkway, city officials said. Along with outdoor ice skating, Holidays on the Plaza features the Tinsel Trail benefiting Tuscaloosa’s One Place, private parties, and other holiday festivities, organizers said. Ice skating is scheduled to continue through Jan. The event, formerly known as Holidays on the River, has moved to Government Plaza for this holiday season, The Tuscaloosa News reported.
